Russia to auction Soletsko-Khanaveiskoye field in 2019

MOSCOW, Jul 10 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will auction an oil and gas area in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District that includes the Soletsko-Khanaveiskoye field in 2019, the government said in a ruling published on Wednesday.

The initial payment of the auction will amount to 2.35 billion rubles.

The field’s reserves of natural gas under the C1 and C2 categories stand at 154.7 billion cubic meters, while inferred resources stand at 1.8 trillion cubic meters. Media reported previously that conditions of the auction allow for participation of companies that produce liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Russia, of which there are only two – gas giant Gazprom and independent producer Novatek.
